Organizational & Systems Leadership

Maintaining working relationships with other healthcare providers are critical when practicing as an Advanced Practice Nurse. Being able to communicate and work as a team member to effectively care for patients is a pertinent part of healthcare. Working collaboratively with healthcare members has been a strong point of mine throughout my career. However, working with members of a team for a homework assignment can be a challenge. Members may have different ideas about what and when things need to be completed. My weak point throughout my educational career is trusting others, in the group, to complete their parts of the assignments. Not having control of all parts has been an issue of mine from the beginning. Throughout my MSN experience, learning to lean on my partner has been a positive aspect of meeting this essential.

The H.I.T. project was the first collaborative assignment in my MSN career. This project shows collaborative efforts of team members to complete an assignment.  Working with cohorts can be a challenge when other participants live in different places. Being organized coordinated, a team player, and being able to resolve conflicts are all intricate parts of an effective team.

The nurse burnout paper/ presentation were complicated and lengthy projects. Many hours of collaboration went into working on this project. This project was a turning point in my educational career when learning to lean on partners of the group. Using leadership skills, delegation skills, and organizational skills got the job done and are all the major concepts of mastering this essential.
