Philosophy of Nursing
When you define the word nurse, it is defined as a professional who cares for those whom are sick. Nursing is a profession that cares for the wellbeing of others. We nurture, advocate, educate, listen, and comfort those in need. Nurses care for people on a professional and personal level. We find resources for patients that have little and for those who have all. We share in their healing and hold their hand as they take their last breath. True nursing care is not based on what the patient has, who they are, or what they do, but is based on serving their needs to the best of our ability and serving with a smile.

“If a nurse declines to do these kinds of things for her patient, "because it is not her business," I should say that nursing was not her calling” (Florence Nightingale).
