Quality improvement and safety is one of the main essentials for nursing. As advanced practice nurses we are always looking for innovative ways to improve the quality of care we give our patients. This competency is one of my stronger assets. I am always looking for ways to improve care given to my patients. The burnout survey was conducted to assess the risk factors to patients associated with nurse burnout. The qualitative research discussion board assessed what qualitative research was and it proves to be an important aspect of quality care for patients as research opens new doors for patient care. The research discussion board gives a detail explanation of the research process and how human rights should be taken into consideration with any research conducted for human trail. Learning and teaching new skills is a important aspect of nursing and patient safety. Developing an intravenous insertion activity aided me in meeting this essential.
